World Service holds some of the greatest d:tunes yet. On the whole the band are really on top form on the album, pumping out some absolutely superb tracks like Rain Down, Majesty, Inside Outside and Every Little Thing (which includes backing vocals from Daniel Bedingfield). After the previous album, Audio Lessonover?, I think all would agree that World Service is greatly appreciated as it shows the band being delirious?, not trying to fit into a HMV category but simply being themselves.

As for sounds, this album is a very raw sound. Of course there are some effects and digital tricks here and there but overall the sound is very raw and "live" almost. Highlights? Inside Outside definately has the best d:bassline since obsession! God In Heaven is host to yet another excellent sounding guitar riff and Martins vocals are almost angelic!

World Service was released in two forms, CD and Limited Edition Boxing. Although the white card, limited edition cd is very funky, it is also rather frustrating! All those flaps! It is still however very cool and adds to the many weird and wonderful cd designs the lads have come up with. There is no difference in the tracks for each edition, simply different casing.

Overall this album could well be their best yet, mixing powerful and beautiful lyrics with the rock and roll style heard on Mezzamorphis and Audio Lessonover? A must have album!
