Mezzamorphis shows us the progression the band made a year and a half after King of Fools was released. There is an obvious change in the style of the music and also the lyrics. They move from a pop-rock sound to a rock sound! Crunching guitars, cool effects and excellent vocals from Mr Smith.

Previously, delirious? albums had contained lyrics of worship and often questions: "How can it be..." "How long do we have to wait" "Why does it come to this"? Mezzamorphis, however, showed their development as it holds lyrics which stand their ground and proclaim what they are for: "I'll get to Heaven" "I'm not backing down" and "So we run, never stop"

Mezzamorphis also took more time to produce and a lot more time was spent perfecting it in the studio. This shows through all the sounds and endless effects that left me in awe at the sound and atmosphere. It is full of timeless classics such as Bliss, Heaven, Gravity and Follow, all of which im sure will be sung at delirious? concerts for many years to come!

So, all in all this is a musy have for any kind of delirious? fan, whether you are a hardcore fan or you have just been introduced to them, Mezzamorphis is ideal. It also comes with an excellently designed booklet with lyrics and cool photos of the band in america.

For those of you in America, you have an extra track added in there called Deeper'99 which is the d:classic but with a Mezzamorphis twist. It's awesome and definately gives it more of a rock anthem feel. Although you do miss out on the brilliant Kiss Your Feet!
